Extended solution into wireless LAN market

Designed and executed, with the core product team members, a focused program that extended the mobile data mediation product to support tier 1 carrier wireless LAN (WLAN) network requirements. 

With the market failure of mobile data networks, the drivers to deploy mobile data mediation dried up too.  Most carriers found themselves with huge losses.  The independent development of WLAN clients and hot spots interested the major wire-line and wireless carriers to plan low cost deployments that could become the basis of bundled offerings for their customers. 

IUM's mobile data mediation solution was already capable of mediating and controlling customer access to services via wireless LANs.  However, the capabilities were not generally available in the product.  

I started a program to implement a focused WLAN mediation extension.  Main aspects were:
  • Investigated the requirements in depth with our consulting channel that were deploying wireless LAN networks.  
  • Produced a business plan for WLAN extended IUM. 
  • Agreed the base feature set with the solution architects. 
  • Produced the sales development content. 
  • Produced the product messaging content.  
  • Defined and agreed the pricing.  
I coordinated the value delivery system for deploying WLAN mediation through the HP consulting organization.  Main aspects were:
  • Setup iterative delivery system with channel, consultants, and customers. 
  • Coordinated responses to feedback from the consultants evaluating the product. 
  • Prioritized iterative feature implementations as these became better characterized. 
  • Worked with outbound marketing to create final product collateral. 
  • Reviewed solution cost model and pricing with consulting and business development. 
  • Released the first version of the bi-directional mediation solution. 

The extended product was delivered to the HP consulting organization who reviewed it with key customers who agreed to standardize on the solution. 

Tier one operators deployed their solutions based on our technology prior to our finalizing our release.

Each goal has a series of associated complex adaptive system (CAS) strategy strings. 
These goals plus strings are detailed for various chess and business examples.
